An exciting all-day early-music workshop which is likely to focus on music by Orlando Gibbons, who died 400 years ago, and Pierluigi da Palestrina, who would have been half a millennium old this year – we're still choosing the most ravishing repertoire. There is likely to be a picnic lunch in or near the church, and Orlando is renowned for its cakes as well as for its singing.
The workshop is open to all choral singers but sight-reading skills are a prerequisite. We'll prepare scores for participants to print at home. Advance booking is required – the box office will open early this summer – but it's not too early to reserve the date!
