A concert tracing origins, development and rise to prominence of Scandinavian choral music. The musical journey starts with the 16th century Piae Cantiones, visits the cosmopolitan court of King Christian IV of Denmark and ends in the sweeping harmonic landscapes of Jean Sibelius and his living heir Einojuhani Rautavaara.
